It is almost impossible to get Battle.net-enabled cd keys from key generators (keygen, 1:1000 chance), but getting a cd key online is quite easy (google). After you found a list of cd key comes the testing. It is really slow if you do it with the client (changing the key and connecting to Battle.net), so I suggest getting a StealthBot or a Battle.net cd key tester to do the job. (StealthBot is safe to use, the tester isn't) Of course if you have a legal cdkey testing is not required.

RoC doesnt work, you type everything in and then it stops responding. Might be a scam as it takes your CD key then stops responding. This needs to be fixed or removed as it may tarnish your reputation.

I'm not worried about that. I trust the RoC CD key changer.
I have used the app in the past and all my RoC keys are still mine.
You can verify it doesn't steal your key by monitoring it in WireShark or a similar network monitoring tool. If it makes any outgoing connections while it runs, you know it's a scam. Otherwise it isn't.

At least a "please" is expected. And all caps is considered shouting, which is frowned upon here.
Yes, unfortunately these applications are quite old and do not work with the latest version of the game anymore.
Reinstalling the expansion with the correct key is the only solution I know off the top of my head.

There are no MAC CD key changers that I know of.
But the windows tools should work through Wineskin just fine. As long as Wine emulates a proper windows-like file system and accompanying registry.
There is a way to run WC3 and the key changers in the same wrapper, even at the same time, if necessary.
Its not extremely clean or straightforward, but it can be done. There are three main options; A batch script, a custom EXE launcher, or a Menbar script. The custom exe is too much work, and I know nothing about Menbar. So I would try to use use a batch script.

Have you tried to free up some space?
The installer requires about 1 GB. (Editing 500MB mpq files is storage space intensive as a full copy needs to be created…)
Or is it an incorrectly thrown error?
Edited by 3ICE: Just to clarify: Even though the CD key is only a few bytes, you still need (temporary) room for several gigabytes of data. So yes, changing your CD key requires a lot of free disk space. It will be used for copying two or three (500MB each) mpq files for a few seconds only.

I'm quite sure cd keys are still available online, you just have to try a few from page 10+ of Google. Don't click the first result, as everyone else does that and those keys are always in use / already banned. You did the right thing, coming to my website. That's not possible. If you mistype anything in the CD key it tells you right away and prevents the install from proceeding until you fix the typo. This verification is done with a CRC at the end of the CD key.

Hey, I tried changing my Fronzen Throne CD-Key because I typed a wrong one in it and the online isn't working, but all I get is that I don't have enough space, but at this moment I have exactly 666GB free (And yes, that is the memory I have left for real). I'm afraid a complete reinstall will be necessary to fix this.
Back up your replays, save games, downloaded maps, campaign progress, etc, both from your documents folder and from the install directory. And then uninstall Warcraft 3.
Install it again with the working key. Copy back your data.
Sorry about only having this one, outdated cd key changer tool. It stopped working a few patches ago. An error I cannot fix.
Edit: You probably only have 4-8 GB of memory. That 600 GB you are seeing is called storage space.

I have lots of keys, so you get to pick the type. (I probably can't give you a perfect key, obviously. But a Good key is still perfectly suitable.)
Perfect keys:
• Never used (Not even to install the game. From pristine, boxed copies of WarCraft III. Never opened, still in original packaging.)
• Not claimed (I cannot test this unless I have access to your bnet account - the only way to test is by trying to claim the keys and as soon as I do that they become claimed. Also; Selling bnet accounts is riskier than selling keys.)
Good keys:
• Claimed but not used by anyone anymore (Most of my keys come from players who have quit. But they probably registered it on their account previously, so the key is "claimed" now. Can still be used to play online just fine though.)
• Since I cannot test for a key's "claimed" status, good and perfect keys are in the same category, actually.
• Claimed keys can be sold by trading the entire battlenet account they're registered with. I do not do this kind of trading though.
Okay keys:
• In use sometimes (by other players, bots, etc.)
Bad keys:
• In use often (hostbots, chatbots, and the occasional spammer and mass loader - usually in use during the day. Most keys I find online are "bad" like this. Risk getting various temp or chat bans, mutes, voided, ladder ban, permaban.)
Terrible keys:
• In use always (security and channel moderation bots, always online afk players, and big 24/7 hostbots. I know the key is valid and working, but I've never been able to log in as someone else is always online using it whenever I try. Sometimes I manage to steal a key like this from a 24/7 bot when it is restarted and I log in at the perfect time. The key is easily stolen back if I don't remain online with it though.) Edit: I call this "key sitting". Staying online 24/7 keeps others from using your shared key. Whenever the servers go down there is a huge scramble to be the first one back online with any busy key. In the distant past, usually the person to get home from school first, would get to log in with such a terrible key, the rest played offline or looked for other keys. In the summer, kids would leave their parents' PC on all night (afk-ing), just so they could play online again, tomorrow.
Not recommended: (for you, or anyone, except maybe mass spammers / lossbotters / other bad people who need lots of keys only for a specific purpose):
• Ladder banned (Maphackers' keys, after they wasted their second chance)
• Muted (Chat banned, can still talk in games though)
• Voided (Can't join channels, but can still whisper players.)
• Above three can all play custom games, muted/voided people can still ladder (and talk just fine in games) as well.
Banned keys:
• Temp ban (1-6 month bans often expire and then become "okay" keys.)
• Permaban (Can be used to install, no going online though)
• Disabled keys (Can't even install the game anymore - I don't have any disabled keys yet.)
Invalid keys:
• Not a valid CD key (I keep them anyway, you never know…)

As of now, a CD key is not required at all, for downloading the installers :) Here is the link for the RoC and TFT (combined) setup:

Latest version, so 1.29 (soon v1.30!)
In the past a perfect key was required, as one had to be logged in to an account with Warcraft 3 keys registered before they could download the installers. Not anymore!
Installing asks for a cd key (any valid key, tier doesn't matter)
And playing online still needs a high tier key of course.
Good/okay and even bad keys can play online without problems. Except bad keys might have trouble chatting (muted keys) or get the occasional "can't log in, CD key in use" error. (in-use keys) Tip: Try again in an hour.
I won't share (rehost) the "Warcraft-III-Setup.exe" file itself here, as the downloads are unique (timestamped) and could lead Blizzard back to me. I used to host the old, separate (not combined) installers, from ages ago.

Still having trouble testing my TFT keys… But I have selected a good RoC key already. Looks like I'll have to send you only the RoC key for now, and then the TFT key whenever I get things working.
RoC used to be enough to enjoy Warcraft 3, but nowadays everyone plays on TFT unfortunately. I made all my maps RoC compatible (Takes a lot of extra work, since they're full of TFT-only features.) but today it's all for nothing. Everyone's on TFT anyway.
I might have to put sale of TFT keys on hold for now :(

Is it possible blizzard finally unified TFT and RoC? None of my TFT keys work… See if you can play a TFT map (anything) with your RoC install. Just rename the file (change its extension) from w3x to w3m.

Damn it. I knew it sounded too good to be true. All right, I'll keep trying to fix the TFT key tester then. Go ahead and play on RoC until then. I play exclusively Reign of Chaos maps for fun. (Mostly my own maps… haha)
Of course I could send you an unknown untested key, but that might be inconvenient. For example you would have to do the testing yourself… And reinstall, if it turns out to be banned / muted or something else equally unpleasant. Because those convenient CD key changers above don't work anymore.

You can log onto BNET with any old key. Your friend's, your school's, etc. I'm still using a key I "borrowed" from my local book library. (Yeah they had like 8 games and wc3 was one of them. Board games were available for rent too. Quite modern establishment. Too bad they closed 10 years ago.)
BUT
And this is a huge but…
I don't want to mislead anyone; You've heard about Warcraft Reforged by now. We'll all be playing that next year anyway. (Unless if flops.) Might as well preorder it now and get free keys for the classic wc3 games. (I hope this is true, never seen Blizzard confirm, but I have seen random reddit posts and in discord a few people say the preorder activates classic war3 on your account.)
Also I have an old PC, so I will probably need to keep playing classic for performance reasons… Thankfully there's cross-play promised (Though as a developer I have some experience with struggling to make that work for my own, far simpler games. And so with this insight, I fear Blizzard won't be able to deliver us this promise. At least not on launch.)
The way to buy an unused key from me is as follows;
• (This step is against the rules) Give me a bnet account you've created.
• I recommend something with no other games on them just to keep the devil in check; I'm naturally curious and will look around for a while.
• I will try to log in.
• Blizzard will likely protect your account.
• There's a small window you can click the "yeah that was me" button, or forward me the email.
• Or send me the secret one-time login password / the blizzard authenticator code / whatever security measures will be put in place.
• Authentiator changes so frequently we might need to do it in a live chat or even video call (Put the code on screen in front of your camera and I'll copy it down as fast as possible… Right after it changes.)
• I'll then enter the extra security codes and manage to log in.
• I will try over and over to activate my various cd keys until I find one that was pristine.
• There's now a cd key on your account.
• I log off and tell you it is done.
• (Optional) You change your password to prevent me from logging in again.
• I'm a professional but this is good practice when account-sharing with strangers.
• Change your passwords. Always.

Blizzard's Reforged tinkering just broke Reign of Chaos multiplayer!!! They disabled Bnet but as apology gave everyone TFT who already had RoC. News flash Blizzard; Just because I choose to play RoC doesn't mean I don't also own TFT. I played the campaign, it was okay, but now I'm back on RoC. My preferred version of your game. And now you've taken that away from me. Online play is now TFT only.
But good news; The CD keys are now able to be stored in files:
roc.w3k - Reign of Chaos (Also unlocks TFT)
tft.w3k - The Frozen Throne (optional)
And your name goes in:
user.w3k
This recent change makes CD key grabbers and changers obsolete as long as you have the 2019 patch. Reforged coming real soon now too!
